What would you change about this blog?
Today I was tossing around a few ideas, creating some new graphics ( for future projects ), writing a bit, and trying to cram as much into my online experience as possible, while simultaneously keeping my three year old daughter entertained. nice run on sentence Phil
I’ll spare you from the long drawn out story about how my 3 year old can now fold towels. Or perhaps, you really were looking forward to hearing about how sore my arms were after my workout on Monday.. and then finally I’d segue into a post about how to set up and use a squeeze page.
So lets start a poll. Tell me what you want. Want would make you visit more, read more, explore this blog more.. or are you happy with what I’m doing?

Hy Phil, Just popped in to vote! :)
isn’t it amazing when your offspring accomplishes something!! It makes you so proud!!
You Rock, Phil!!
Regards,
Catherine.
Phil, I love that you include stories about your daily life, it makes it easier knowing that you really are just another person out there trying to do the best he can. If your blog was nothing but “business” so to speak, I would feel that you were like alot of the other internet money making blogs, just doing it for the sign ups. If more people would actually take an interest in helping others with something so simple as writing about their actual experiences on the net then we would have a lot less people getting scammed. Thanks and keep it up.
Keep up what ypu are doing, Phil. I am always glad to hear from someone that has remained honest in spite of the temptation of the internet. I have only subscribed to your blog for a few days, but I like what I see
@Catherine
Thanks Cat! I have something in the works that will help our team tremendously.
Thanks for the comment
@Virginia
Wow! Thanks Virginia.
Ya know it’s taking me over six years to learn that I don’t have to sell everything I endorse ( and a lot of programs that went belly up ). Still learning actually, but comments like yours remind me that I’m on the right path. Being myself, sadly was something I had a hard time with, even though in real life I’m a pretty outgoing guy. So yeah honesty vs commissions, how does the average person trying to make money online balance the two? I think I’m figuring it out.
Thank you so much for chiming in, it really means a lot.
@Ken Kuester
awww thanks. The honest thing seems to work in my favor. Although, I read back on some of my posts and cringe at some of the stuff I’ve written. More good and helpful posts coming.
We all want to make more money, but at what cost? Everyone ( including myself ) has a hard time being honest in advertising. I’ve learned that although dishonesty does pay quite well, the end result is usually failure.
Thanks for the comment.. it’s always nice to hear from newcomers!!
Keep doing what your doing buddy. Your already on a track to success and growing so you are already doing all the right things. Just keep up with it and you will continue to keep growing. Love the blog!
@Sean Supplee
Hey Thanks Sean. Yeah, things are moving along quite well. I have a couple projects in the works but you’ll be seeing some love heading your way soon from me on VisitManiac.
I really appreciate you commenting.
Phil,
You already know my insight about this since we’ve had these discussions in the past. I think you keeping it real is one of your greatest selling points since so many more people in our industry don’t. So when you do this people just naturally want to follow everything you say and more importantly refer others to your site.
I also agree the fact that you share stuff about your life is also another wonderful thing. Most of us don’t want to read articles written by tight ass corporate types. Well I don’t. lol
I think you’ve already started to make some great changes in terms of focusing your recommendations and thoughts in your posts. Couple that with some SEO stuff and you’re going to have a blog that will reach a larger audience. So in short you’re definitely on the right path!
..Hi there, Your mix is good, balanced and interesting. Keep it up. “o)
Hey Phil! Had to go with “More cowbell!” since there isn’t anything I would change! I’ve culled through my list subscriptions and yours is one I always read, so I am glad to stay! Keep up the good work! Liz
HI Phil,
I know why you are tempted or playing with the idea of playing around with the format of your blog, truth be told If I was you, I’d be changing very little.
One thing you could consider to add is a monthly wrap up and let your subscribers know how you went for the month, how much you earned, where you advertised what was successful and what wasn’t. Your goal in my opinion is to make the bulk of your referrals through this website and give those referrals the tools to develop their own downlines.
From a personal point of view, I’d love to provide a guest post with a single link to one of the sites that I promote and you do not. Whilst this gives your site more content for google to index, having guest post on your blog can reduce the integrity of your blog as well, if the wrong type of stuff is promoted.
It’s a tough world out there but full of possibilities for anyone willing to have a crack at it. Looks like to me you are on the right path.
Adam
Quick note from Philsfault ( that’s me! )…
Okay, so I don’t know why this post went out today. I’m not sure if there’s a glitch with “Feed Burner” or if I turned something on by accident.
Either way, thanks for all the kind words, encouragement, and love. You guys help me grow daily.
Phil
@Australian Survey Sites
Hey Adam,
Thanks for the comment. Ya know, you are more than welcome to submit a guest post. As you know I have no problem giving plugs to certain people. So of course we’ll have a link to your blog ( as the guest writer ) and then one of two additional links as well, depending on your topic. Let me know what you were thinking about writing. Would love something exclusive and unbiased.
I’ve tossed around the idea of including a monthly wrap up type thing. Really though, I include that information in most of my posts. It’s still a good idea but that would mean I would have to pay closer attention to my earnings on twenty or so programs. Gaaaa more work = )
@Liz Price
@Louise
Thanks so much Liz and Louise. Back when Philsfault.com began I didn’t know what I was doing but tried to tell everyone how to make money online. I just wrote the wackiest crap and the early version looked like the Vegas strip; there was flashing and movement everywhere. I’m better now, and always think of new topics that will not only present an idea, thought or program, but also maybe help others as well. Hell! I’m doing it why can’t everyone else.
@Eddy Salomon
Wait, didn’t you already comment on this post when it was originally written? Yeah, I don’t know why this post was sent out today. Did I turn something on in FeedBurner that says “Send Random Posts to my Subscriber List”.
Anyways, thanks as usual for chiming in. I think you’ll like the next three posts I have planned. My problem is time and too many ideas. I also have something tentative called “Project 99″ that may or may not evolve. Plus everytime you write something in “…no scams” I think of new topics and ways to segue back to you.
The good news, is that I think I’m a couple months away from not needed two jobs ( focus Phil focus )
