Updating my Splash Page

September 14th, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

Okay, so I really haven’t had my splash pages for this blog in circulation in quite some time. The truth is, is that I’ve never been 100% happy with my creations. I like to share a bit of my sense of humor in my splash pages but sometimes I put to much emphasis on me being a funny guy. I really am funny, you should hang out with me sometime.

Anyways… I was working on a new splash page last night. I’m not totally happy with it and there’s a couple changes I’m going to make. For one, I’m going to re-due the whole top left side so it’s centered a bit better. Other than that I’d love to hear your opinions.

Blog Splash Page

.

Splash Page made using Splash Page Maker and Instant Banner Creator. Two programs I highly recommend.

UPDATED SEPTEMBER 19TH…Here’s my new SPLASH PAGE

    Hi Phil! Your new splash looks great – love the flashing banner effect. For weak eyes like mine, you might want to increase the font size. And of course, centering the left hand side like you said will help, though it looks good to me as is. And your sense of humour does come through, from the name of your blog to your alias “Philsfault”…yep, you are a funny guy!

    Splash Page Maker is a dream come true, I always thought that I will never have a splash page because I thought it was going to be complicated and you needed to know various computer languages etc. Not when I found Splash Page Maker!!!!!!!!!!!! They give you a template to use and it’s free!!!!!! All you have to do is play around with the template and preview your creation, if you don’t like your creation play with the template again!!!!!!!! It only takes about 10 mins to get it right on your first try!!!

    @Phil: How do you put say Treasuretrooper banners in the instant banner creator program?? Everytime I try to do it the banner doesn’t work or I get a clickable banner but it redirects to a blank website with an UNCLICABLE BANNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    @Lynne Sherman

    Lynn!!

    Always a pleasure when you chime in.

    Just because I don’t want to make you buy glasses to read my creations, I will increase the blog title. Centering is on the way as well. I’m thinking the easiest route would be to create two graphics; one for the blog title and one as the animated banner. Should be easier to get everything to line up and center.
