ClixGrid Results… $10 well spent

February 5th, 2011 1 comment

My ad tracking is often hit and miss.

Sometimes I pay attention to where my results are coming from and sometimes I just throw ads up so quickly that I neglect to care whats giving me results; or where my money and time are wasted. I know this is a bad habit that I must break.. so don’t give me any shit; I’m kinda sorta working on it :p

An easy solution for me is to just create an ad ( Splash Page / Banner ) and advertise it one place at a time. Less to think about, very effective, but also very limiting.

As most of you know I’ve switched over to Aweber for all my subscriber and email marketing needs. Although I’m really only interested in building my subscriber “list” for this blog, and not much into contacting my subscribers for anything other than when I write new posts.

Anyways.. Moving to Aweber has allowed me more detail on the who, what’s and where’s of my subscribers.

I decided to test this out with an ad on ClixSense last month. I normally just post my ads in the paid to click section and I’m usually pretty damn happy with my results. This time around I thought I’d give a ClixGrid ad a try. At $10 per month it was a wise investment.

I made this splash page and made sure I wasn’t promoting it anywhere else.

Here are the results:

That’s 47 new subscribers in a month! Awesome! Looks like I’ll be keeping more ads up on the ClixGrid.

In fact I just updated my NeoBux splash page and put it up for the month. Since I want to play around with a few other things this month, I’ll refrain from advertising that particular page anywhere else for a bit.

That’s it for me tonight. Trying to follow UFC 126 online. Would have loved to watch it tonight but the wife is out of town and I’m home with the rug rats ( err.. kids ).

Speaking of ClixSense. Saw a little note this week that the upgrade cost will be going up. So Now would be a good time to lock in for the year at only $10. I’m really excited to see the new and more bad ass site. Although I’m perfectly happy with ClixSense now.. change is good and I trust that Jim will bring us something truly amazing. Adding PayPal, going social ( forum!! ) and a better commission structure!! I’m just about to soil myself.. CAN’T WAIT!!!

Update Feb. 6: Just won another cash ClixGrid prize..

Oh yeah… Gotta post this little clip. I can watch it a thousand times over and over and I laugh every time.

Clixsense adding PayPal!!

January 27th, 2011 No comments

I’ve got a zit on the tip of my tongue!!

I know this is not the best way to start a post but it’s really annoying and painful. I’m a chronic gum chewer and I’m finding it very difficult to chew gum with this damn bump at the end of my tongue, let alone concentrate on anything else. I’ve tried biting into it and I’ve tried pinching it; painfully with no luck.

I know it will be gone soon, but for now it’s pissing me off.

Anyways… sorry for grossing you guys out today.

By now most of you have heard the news that ClixSense has come to an agreement with PayPal. PayPal will soon be accepted for advertising, payouts and everything else. I feel this is going to be a huge addition to an already awesome program!!

Although, I previously felt that giving up the eight levels in exchange to have PayPal added was a good idea, I’m pretty damn happy that they are keeping the current commission model and adding a very popular payment processor.

Will this bring more ads to click? There’s already a steady stream of ads to click on everyday ( pretty much every hour ), but I can only assume that giving everyone a new way to purchase ads will be a good thing all around!! I’ve made it very clear that 90% of my promotions are done on ClixSense and there’s a reason…. Advertising on CS Works. , I’m sure there will be a ton of new advertisers taking advantage of the new payment option; but once again, I’m only assuming.

Will this bring more upgrades? I’ve had several of you mention that they would jump on the chance to upgrade when PayPal is accepted. So it’s going to a good thing for all parties to have another way to pay for upgrades.

So yeah, I’m excited; not only for the added PayPal option but for the new site as well.

Here’s a snippit of the latest announcement:

After going back and forth with PayPal and finally getting to their Acceptable Use Department, explaining our business model and showing them what it is that we do exactly they have agreed that we can use them to accept our payments with our current model. So, not only will we be keeping the 8 level affiliate program for upgrade commissions but we will also be accepting PayPay payments for ads, upgrades and ClixGrid purchases. We will also offer withdrawals to your PayPal account too.

Pretty cool!!

Have a great weekend everyone.

So I’m working on a page that will not only be shown as a link in the sidebar of this blog but also at the top of this blog under the header. I’m still in the editing phase and I have another version in the works. I can be a bit wordy sometimes and this page is getting a bit longer than I’d hoped. As always feedback is appreciated. I got some great feedback from Eddy over at Work at Home No Scams, but I’m a bit curious to know what the rest of you think.

Instant Cash Sweepstakes… I play to win!

January 23rd, 2011 10 comments

Ya know, I honestly expect to win at least once a day over at Instant Cash Sweepstakes. Of course I don’t, but that’s how I play. A couple times a day or more, I visit the site and enter my coins for the $2 draw that’s held six ( 6!!! ) times a day.

I answer a few super quick polls and let my tickets ride for the daily $50 prize as well. I never convert my coins for more tickets. I get plenty of tickets from my matching referral wins and by answering the polls.

Anyways… I won the $50 prize a few months ago and was pretty darn thrilled when I won it again earlier this month… sweet! Expected and Unexpected at the same time.

Like I said though “I Play to Win!” Everyday. Do I really expect to win everyday? Nope… but then again if I didn’t play and participate I would never know.

Read Instant Cash Sweepstakes… Just Got Awesomer!

That’s it for today. Short and simple and now I’m off to enjoy my Sunday ( chores, gym and family type stuff ).

Oh I forgot to mention that we picked up some new family members earlier this month.

Guinea Pigs!!

I was a bit reluctant at first, thinking that “Oh Great, Now I have something else to think about everyday”. To be honest though, they are actually pretty cool little pets.

I love how they communicate and have quickly become a part of the family.

Meet Gabriella and CoaCoa. Gab’s is the white one and is my favorite so far. I’m not sure if he ( yes.. He ) has adopted me or if I’ve adopted him, but he’s definitely got me wrapped around his furry little paw.
