You Will Not Get Rich From This Blog

Sorry guys, I’ve been in a bit of a writing slump this month. It’s gotta be a summer, I’m busy as hell, wasting to much time playing a particular game desktop tower defender , can’t seem to focus, too many distractions type of slump. I’ll get over it.. don’t worry.

First off I wanted to congratulate my little buddy Nick, and his band PK for picking up the opening slot for the Aerosmith concert tonight. Awesome Nick! You Rock!! Well, actually, you better rock! Do lots of jumping around and use that move I taught you ; ) . See ya at work on Tuesday, can’t wait to here all about it.

So I wanted to give you guys an Instant Cash Sweepstakes update this week. A couple posts back I wrote an award winning post ( whatever ) titled “Instant Cash Sweepstakes. Got a Minute?”. I’m going to resist the urge of repeating myself and just encourage those of you who haven’t read it to give it a looksy.

This is how my first two months with ICS looks. Obviously I had a little help from the three hundred referrals I introduced over my first couple months; I’ll talk more about that later in this post.

Notice the $56 payment circled in red. One of the cool features about ICS is the referral matching bonus. Whenever one of my referrals wins tickets, coins, a few cents or even the $50 daily sweepstakes, I get paid 100% of their win as well. Pretty cool, and definitely worth promoting in my book.

So how did I bring in over three hundred referrals in two months? First I created THIS rather simple page using Splash Page Maker. The main graphic was created with the help of Instant Banner Creator. Because I’m really not that techy I find both of these programs to be invaluable resources for creating my own promotional materials. Anyways, 90% of my advertising was done on ClixSense, using money that I had coming in from several streams of income ( like Instant Cash Sweepstakes!! ).

So now I’ve added another solid and consistent stream of extra income to my money making arsenal. Although I’d like to see a few changes made to ICS I’m pretty happy that I’ve found a growing and energetic company that will no doubt evolve and provide more opportunities in the future.

I promise I’ll break out of my writing funk and and get more content up. As I told Eddy this week, I need to focus on writing more about how I stopped “trying” to make money and got in the zone of just making money.

Since it will come from the very awesome and seasoned “MatrixMails” team, ( paying since 2002 ) , I’m sure it will be nothing less than spectacular. I just wish they would hurry up already.

This really is my time of the year! I wear shorts year round in anticipation of Summer. Of course it doesn’t hurt to live on the California Central Coast either. Although even when the weather decides to wreak havoc on my garden and freeze whatever is left of my annuals ( and occasionally my perennials ), you’ll still find me in shorts.

I’m a summer kind a guy. I look and feel better in shorts and rarely will you see me wearing jeans. It’s my thing, and someday soon when the kids are in college, you’ll probably find me living somewhere in the Virgin Islands ( St Croix / St Martin ) where the average temp is over 70 degrees.

Yeah, I like warm weather and that’s why the “4th of July” is my holiday. Beer, BBQ, Hot Weather and I live in a city where I get to light fireworks in my front yard. Plus I don’t have to put up decorations or buy gifts for anyone. I know I sound selfish, and I can be at times, even though I’m a very generous person in other ways. Like when I host a party at my house for the 4th of July. All my guests have to do is drink, eat, be merry and enjoy themselves ( I’ll even do all the dishes ).

This year, I’m keeping it simple. Burgers and Hot Dogs. My wife has requested in the past “Can’t you just be normal and serve, normal food?” I have a tendency to try to be a bit of a gourmet, but this year ( I’ve had a long year ) her wish is granted.

So to make this my shortest post to date. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy, Safe, Pant’s Free, Relaxing, Simple, Stress Less, and most of all … a F’N Kick Ass Fourth of July!!!

Okay, so I was going to write this on Sunday and title it “Free Money Fathers Day Update”, but I had such a relaxing and awesome day with my four year old daughter that I basically said “Screw it!”, and just kicked back with Kalynn all day. It was a very nice Fathers Day..VERY NICE! Since my wife and son are in France visiting friends and family things have been very low key around here. So although I’m still pretty damn busy ( ’tis life ), I haven’t pushed myself to hard to be overly productive or creative. Which is good because my A.D.H.D. ( not official ) really kicked into hyper drive the last couple weeks… I could seriously write a new post every hour, but just trying to focus on which post to write first is difficult.

So lets do an “Update”. It could be a weekly Wednesday thing or I might stick with my original plan of doing a weekly wrap up on Sundays ( it’s not a religious thing; trust me. ).

Instant Cash Sweepstakes, is definitely the hot topic the last couple weeks. Since I rediscovered and started promoting and talking about ICS, I’m seeing ads everywhere now. Where as, a couple weeks ago, this was one of those sleeper Free Money Sites that only a few of you “paid” attention to. Awesome, glad I could help. Also, very happy to get Eddy jumping on board and getting excited about Instant Cash Sweepstakes as well.

Speaking of Eddy ( Work at Home No Scams). Eddy introduced me to SwagBucks a few weeks ago. By simply changing my home page ( optional ) and doing all my searches I would normally do through SwagBucks instead of Google, I was able to redeem my earned “SwagBucks” for a nice little $5 paypal payment in just under a month.

…Sweet! Talk about Free Money… it doesn’t get any easier than that. Although I did have my heart set on redeeming my “bucks” for the official SwagBucks Tee shirt. I have a hard time resisting the opportunity to add some cash to my PayPal account. Maybe I’ll opt for the tee shirt as my next reward.

Link Grand has really become one of my favorite Paid to Click ( PTC ) programs. It’s simple, sustainable, and Now has two upgrade options; $10 yearly and $20 Lifetime. Of course Link Grand is totally Free to Join, and I was pretty damn happy with it when they didn’t offer the ( optional ) upgrades. I really like the fact the upgrade option is affordable and “NOT a monthly subscription”. Anyways, got my third $5 PayPal payment from them sometime last week. Perhaps it’s time I threw some ads out there and try to get that up to a weekly payment.

ClixSense of course, will probably be mentioned in every post I write. So why should this post be any different? The big news a couple weeks ago was the announcement that Alert Pay was and is, now accepted for upgrades and advertising. Although, I’m not a big Alert Pay user, I know a lot of you are. Monthly payments are still sent out the first of every month via check … …Update!!!…..Payouts can now be paid via Alert Pay .

Personally, I convert all my ClixSense earnings to advertising… but, I think this is really good news for those of you who can’t, for some reason connect a debit / C. Card to Google Check Out.

I have a new official banner for this Blog that I’ve been keeping in circulation. Although it’s not my most creative, it is simple and seems to be getting some decent clicks. What do you guys think?

In closing. Ya know, a lot of you probably don’t share my taste in music. Growing up in the 80’s I was a big metal and punk fan. Over the years I’ve learned to appreciate “MOST” music. I’m a big TOOL fan! Love Mudvaynes first album, LD 50, but also dig more mellow stuff like Blind Melon, Pearl Jam ( Ten! ), old Blues, and Counting Crows. I’ve also become a big P.O.S. fan.
